Record for Warmest September 29 Broken in Eindhoven with 28.6 Degrees
Eindhoven recorded a temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, breaking the national record for the warmest September 29. This also surpassed the official record in De Bilt, which was previously 25.4 degrees from 1934, establishing the new national benchmark of 25.9 degrees. The previous country-wide record of 28 degrees, set in Winterswijk in 1934, was also exceeded. Temperatures are expected to remain high on Wednesday, reaching 23 to 26 degrees in most areas and up to 28 degrees in the east and southeast. This heat increases the likelihood that the September 30 record of 26.7 degrees will be broken. Today’s record marks the twelfth warmth record of 2026, following multiple records set in March, May, June, and August.
