A recent RIVM study shows PFAS concentrations in the blood of most Dutch residents have declined since 2017, with approximately 70 percent now below safety thresholds linked to immune system risks. However, levels in Zeeland Flanders have risen due to historical pollution from a 3M plant near Antwerp affecting groundwater.
