Traffic on Suurhoff Bridge to Use Emergency Lane for Up to Eight Weeks Due to Structural Cracks
Traffic heading west on the A15’s Suurhoff Bridge toward Maasvlakte must use the emergency lane for six to eight weeks after inspectors found cracks in the main girders, compromising safety. The western section, opened in 1974, was closed immediately, causing significant delays for the 36,500 daily vehicles. The eastern part, completed in 2021, may soon serve as a temporary two-way solution.
