Dead 11-Meter Fin Whale Washes Ashore on Ameland Beach
A deceased juvenile fin whale, approximately 11 meters long, washed up on Ameland beach on Friday morning. Rijkswaterstaat decided to leave the decomposing carcass on the shore as it provides food for coastal wildlife, advising the public to maintain distance and not touch the remains.
