Suspect ShinyHunters May Have Also Attempted to Solicit Two Murders
Pepijn van der S., a 24-year-old Amsterdammer arrested on September 15 in connection with the ShinyHunters hacker collective, is also suspected of attempting to solicit two murders. Police found information on his laptop regarding killings planned abroad and believe he issued orders for them. Van der S., previously convicted in 2023 for extortion and hacking, was detained by the Dienst Speciale Interventies in the Rivierenbuurt. His pre-trial detention has been extended by 90 days, and he is under full restrictions. Police clarify that this murder suspicion is unrelated to the Odido hack investigation, for which Van der S. is not currently held.
