Prinsjesdag 2026: Extra funding for infrastructure, but tough choices remain necessary
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management continues to strive for an accessible, clean, safe, and economically robust Netherlands. Consequently, an additional total of 5.1 billion euros will be added to the Mobility Fund through 2040. Of this amount, 1.5 billion is allocated for specific initiatives. This investment aims to support national goals while acknowledging that difficult decisions regarding resource distribution are still required to maintain progress in infrastructure development and environmental standards.
