Tens of Thousands of New Homes Cannot Get Electricity Connections for Now
Approximately 55,000 planned homes in East Brabant cannot be connected to the electricity grid due to network congestion, according to grid operator Enexis. While space was found for 54,000 other applications nationwide, the remaining demand exceeds capacity. Director Rutger van der Leeuw urges municipalities, developers, and large consumers to collaborate on grid reinforcement and flexible energy usage to resolve the shortage.
