No Baby Born Without PFAS in Body, Yet Production Expands
Despite global health warnings that every newborn contains PFAS and stricter regulations in the European Union, major producers are expanding output due to rising demand for AI infrastructure. Research by ChemSec indicates that seven of the top ten manufacturers plan to increase production, driven by the need for fluoropolymers in microchips, lithium-ion batteries, and data center cooling systems. Emeritus professor Jacob de Boer states that viable alternatives will not emerge until a total ban is implemented with a transition period.
