Municipality and province invest €60 million in Automotive Campus ownership
The municipality of Helmond and the province have agreed to spend over €60 million to acquire the Automotive Campus, currently owned by a company from Veghel. The council approved the purchase to prevent foreign takeover and gain control over innovation and education initiatives. Alderman Toine Manders and provincial official Stijn Smeulders view the campus as a national asset that will boost employment and attract growing businesses.
