Moto2 Rider Collin Veijer Successfully Operated on Broken Collarbone
Moto2 rider Collin Veijer underwent successful surgery in Barcelona for a broken left collarbone after crashing during free practice in Austria. Trauma specialist Xavier Mir performed the procedure on the 21-year-old from Staphorst, who is expected to return to the Netherlands on Wednesday. It remains unclear when Veijer will be able to compete again, with the next race scheduled for October 4 in Japan. Veijer currently sits tenth in the championship standings following his second-place finish at the San Marino Grand Prix earlier this month.
