Province Delays Decision on Poultry Farmers: October 1 Deadline Unattainable
Provincial executive Saskia Boelema (D66) announced that the province will extend the timeline for deciding whether to revoke permits for five poultry farmers, missing the initial October 1 target. This delay follows a court ruling last year confirming that the farmers' nitrogen emissions harm protected nature areas.
