Influencer Stuntkabouter Prosecuted for Fatal Accident Under Influence of Drugs
Dutch influencer Martijn van Eijzeren, known as Stuntkabouter, faces charges of involuntary manslaughter in France after his vehicle collided with a truck on May 19 near Savasse. The accident resulted in the death of director Ilya Vierhout, who died four days later from injuries sustained while returning from the Cannes Film Festival. Police found no skid marks at the scene, and tests revealed traces of cocaine in Van Eijzeren’s system. Although initially held in pre-trial detention in Valence, he was released under judicial supervision after appealing. His lawyer, Sébas Diekstra, representing Vierhout’s family, declined to comment pending official statements.
