Lunenburg in Loosbroek to close as event venue after more than 115 years
After over 115 years, Lunenburg Events & More in Loosbroek will cease operations as an event venue because owners Rob and Bianca Lunenburg sold the property to a developer for housing construction. The couple cited changes in the event market as a key reason for closing, with final events expected in January 2028. While other local businesses like Zaal Kerkzicht and Høken & Hakselen remain unaffected, various event concepts will relocate elsewhere. Rob Lunenburg will continue working as an advisor for festivals and companies in the industry.
