Over 100 Minors Turned Away from CityFest Festival for Alcohol Consumption: 'Calm on the Grounds'
Festival organizers at CityFest in Veldhoven denied entry to more than 100 minors this past Friday evening because they had consumed alcohol. To ensure safety while keeping the event accessible, security personnel conduct breathalyzer tests at a separate entrance for all underage attendees. If the device detects alcohol, the minor must leave; if not, they are admitted. Organizer Renzo Dielesen stated that previous editions saw numerous incidents of intoxicated youth causing disturbances, leading to police interventions or parental pickups.
