Thief Strikes in Hospital: Stolen Patient PIN Card Used
Police are searching for a suspect who stole a 73-year-old patient's bag from a hospital nightstand in The Hague while he was away for an examination. The thief discarded the bag, but police recovered it after hearing the phone inside ringing in a trash bin; however, the PIN card had already been removed. The stolen card was used contactlessly for 100 euros across multiple stores, including a supermarket captured on camera. Authorities have identified the supermarket shopper as the same individual who committed the theft and are appealing for public assistance to locate him.
