Individuals with Psychosocial Problems More Likely to Exhibit Aggression and Conspiratorial Thinking

Research from Tilburg University indicates that adults with multiple mental and social issues, particularly traumatic experiences and financial difficulties, are significantly more prone to aggressive behavior and belief in conspiracy theories. Among those with four or more psychosocial problems, 64 percent believe in conspiracies and display aggression, compared to only 4 percent of individuals without such issues. The study, involving 4,388 participants, suggests that policies addressing these psychosocial challenges could help reduce both physical aggression and conspiratorial thinking.
