74-Year-Old Man Prosecuted for Creating Deepfake Pornography of Celebrities
The Public Prosecutor's Office has decided to prosecute a 74-year-old man from North Holland for creating deepfake pornography featuring well-known Dutch women. After more than a year of investigation, authorities confirmed that between 70 and 80 celebrities, including Princess Amalia and politician Caroline van der Plas, were victims of AI-manipulated videos. Fifteen women filed complaints. The suspect faces up to two years in prison, while the Canadian former pharmacist behind the platform is not being prosecuted by Dutch justice.
