Lower-Income Households Can Receive Up to 6,000 Euros Subsidy for Used Electric Cars
The Dutch cabinet has detailed a subsidy scheme for low-to-middle-income individuals purchasing used electric vehicles, requiring the trade-in of older fuel-powered cars. The initiative, funded by over 50 million euros, offers subsidies ranging from 4,000 to 6,000 euros based on income levels between 12,500 and 35,793 euros. Eligible electric cars must have an original catalog price between 12,000 and 60,000 euros, while traded vehicles must be class 0-4 emissions surrendered at RDW-approved facilities.
