Jon Watts to Direct New Star Wars Film
American media report that Jon Watts, known for his work on three Spider-Man films with Tom Holland, has been hired to direct the first installment of a new trilogypart of the Skywalker Saga. Simon Kinberg has been working on the project since 2018, and Daisy Ridley is reportedly set to reprise her role as Rey. The film is scheduled for release in May 2027.
