Primary School Staff to Receive Free Flu Shots Starting in 2027
Employees in primary education will be able to receive free flu vaccinations paid for by their employers starting from the next school year on August 1, 2027. The General Education Union (AOb) celebrated this agreement after five years of advocacy, noting that the Health Council advises offering vaccines to these workers due to their higher risk of infection from close contact with others in small spaces. Vaccination is voluntary and available from October to March.
