Three Professionals from North Brabant Win Awards at WorldSkills Championship in Shanghai
Three participants from the Dutch province of North Brabant won Medals of Excellence at the 48th WorldSkills competition held in Shanghai. Niek Rovers from Reek placed fourth as a bricklayer and received an additional Best of Nations medal for scoring highest among Dutch competitors, while Nick Joosten from Oploo achieved seventeenth place in automotive technology and Joep Hubers from Vianen finished twelfth in building electrical technologies. The biennial event featured over 1,400 young specialists from 73 countries competing in 64 trades. In total, ten out of twenty-five Dutch vocational students secured awards, helping the Netherlands rank twentieth on the national leaderboard.
