FDF Leader Escapes with Only a Warning After Nazi Comparison
Mark van den Oever, leader of the Farmers Defence Force (FDF), will remain welcome at the provincial building despite making Nazi comparisons during a debate, receiving only a warning letter for future conduct. The PRO party had called for a speaking ban after Van den Oever compared farmers' situations to Jews during the Holocaust and wore a star with a 'B', but such bans were deemed legally unfeasible or risky in court. Consequently, no access ban was imposed, though new rules allow the King's Commissioner to mute speakers and stricter item requirements will apply.
