IKEA Introduces Supermarket-Sized Stores for Small Purchases

IKEA plans to open between five and ten smaller stores next year, ranging from 2,000 to 2,500 square meters, focusing on everyday items like tableware and lighting rather than large furniture. These locations will lack self-service warehouses or showrooms but will include food services such as hot dogs and Swedish meatballs. The company aims to improve accessibility for customers in underserved areas, particularly around the Randstad region, with the first outlets expected to open in May or June.
