Ryan Gal Wins U23 Time Trial World Championship Title, Following in Lars Boom's Footsteps
Dutch cyclist Ryan Gal won the under-23 time trial world championship in Montreal on Monday, defeating favorites like Michiel Mouris and Nicolas Milesi. The 21-year-old from Zevenaar became only the second Dutch rider to win this title since it was introduced in 1996, following Lars Boom’s victory in 2007. Gal rode for the continental team Metec-SOLARWATT, distinguishing himself as the only top finisher not representing a WorldTour development squad. Meanwhile, compatriot Nienke Vinke secured silver in the women’s race, and Ben Wiggins finished eleventh.
