Federal Judge Orders White House to Readmit Banned Media Outlets
A US federal judge ruled that journalists from CNN, MSNBC, and Politico must be readmitted to the White House, overturning President Donald Trump’s ban which he claimed was due to the spread of fake news. The court determined that blocking press access violated the Constitution and ordered the immediate return of previously confiscated press credentials, while also prohibiting the enforcement of the ban for the next 14 days. The three media companies had sued after Trump accused them of spreading lies without providing evidence, citing national security concerns that the judge found unsupported.
