Asayech Ayichew won the 40th edition of the Dam tot Damloop, setting a new record with a time of 50:05. The 21-year-old Ethiopian athlete surpassed the previous record held by Norwegian legend Ingrid Kristiansen, who finished in 50:31 in 1987.
