Soap Bottles Containing Liquid Cocaine Seized in Antwerp
Belgian authorities discovered 450 boxes of cocaine disguised as liquid soap in a shipping container from Colombia at the port of Antwerp on August 24. Customs officers detected a strong chemical odor while inspecting the bottles, which were en route to Croatia. The Public Prosecutor's Office noted that the liquid cocaine was nearly indistinguishable from real soap but would crystallize at lower temperatures. The final quantity of the seized drugs is yet to be determined.
