Heineken Poised to Acquire Hundreds of Stonegate Pubs
Dutch brewer Heineken is reportedly close to acquiring 300 pubs from Stonegate, Britain's largest pub chain, in a deal valued at 300 million pounds. Stonegate aims to sell these top sites to alleviate a 3 billion pound debt burden incurred from its 2019 acquisition of Enterprise Inns. Heineken already operates approximately 2,350 pubs in the UK under its Star Pubs & Bars brand.
