As a Child, Felix Was Forced to Kill People: 'Ideally with a machete, shooting was a waste of bullets'
Felix Ojok Odera, now 43, was abducted at age 11 and forced to fight as a child soldier in Joseph Kony’s rebel army in Uganda. Born in South Sudan, he fled to northern Uganda where his father died in a plane crash during his mother’s pregnancy. He now works with War Child in South Sudan, helping boys whose childhoods were stolen, finding peace by assisting others with similar trauma.
