Tourists Spend Nearly 6 Billion Euros More Than a Year Earlier
In 2025, tourists spent 117.6 billion euros in the Netherlands, an increase of 5.6 billion euros compared to 2024. Foreign tourists accounted for more than half of this rise, while domestic spending grew by only 0.8 percent to 70.0 billion euros. The tourism sector's added value reached over 42.3 billion euros, a 3.9 percent increase, with air transport and travel agencies seeing the strongest growth. Tourism’s share of the Dutch economy remained stable at 4 percent, though its value-added growth has outpaced the total economy since the pandemic ended.
