Motorist (66) Prosecuted for Fatal Bus Accident in Zwartewaal
The Public Prosecution Service will prosecute a 66-year-old man from Rotterdam for causing a fatal bus accident in Zwartewaal, South Holland, in January 2025. The man allegedly drove the car that collided with a bus on provincial road N218, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old girl. The bus ended up in a ditch; eight people were rescued, four with minor injuries. The girl was found under mud and died days later in hospital. The cause of the collision remains unclear. The suspect is accused of violating articles 5 and 6 of the Road Traffic Act.
