Road Cycling World Championships 2034 to Netherlands: Drenthe and Groningen Secure Hosting Rights
The UCI announced during its annual congress in Montreal that the 2034 road cycling world championships will be held in the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. Although these regions initially sought to host the event in 2032, India’s Pune was selected for that year instead. The last time the championships were held in the Netherlands was in 2012 in Valkenburg, where Marianne Vos won her second title. The upcoming races in Montreal are followed by events in Haute-Savoie, Abu Dhabi, Kopenhagen, Brussels, Trentino, and India.
