On the morning of 2026-09-08, the driveway of actor Nicolas Cage's villa in Malibu, California, collapsed due to a sinkhole. The incident was caused by Hurricane Marie, which, while not reaching the US West Coast, brought rain and dangerous waves to the Los Angeles area, eroding the ground in Malibu.
