'Van Dom to Dam' Fast Bike Route Between Utrecht and Amsterdam Nears Implementation
The Province of Utrecht, the Amsterdam Transport Region, and four municipalities have agreed on a new 40-kilometer fast bike route connecting Utrecht and Amsterdam. The project, which includes the construction of the Boorstraattunnel and improvements to the Demkabrug, will cost at least 57 million euros with work starting in 2028. Gedeputeerde André van Schie aims to make cycling a logical and healthy alternative for commuters.
