Dordrecht to Host Joint Fireworks Display for New Year's Eve, Clubs and Associations Denied Permits
The municipality of Dordrecht will not grant fireworks permits to clubs or associations for the New Year's Eve celebration, aligning with other regional municipalities like Rotterdam. Mayor Nanning Mol explained that the complex regulations regarding insurance, safety, and damage prevention make individual permits nearly impossible to enforce safely. To avoid overburdening emergency services on a busy night, the decision was made jointly with the South Holland South Safety Region.
