Woman Loses Job After Hyrox Competition While Claiming Pfeiffer's Disease
A Dutch court ruled that the immediate dismissal of an office manager was justified after she participated in a strenuous Hyrox fitness competition while claiming to suffer from Pfeiffer's disease. The judge determined that her participation breached the trust between employer and employee, as she had previously stated she was exhausted by minor exertions. Despite the valid termination, she is entitled to a severance payment of 877.50 euros and over 2,500 euros in unpaid wages and holiday pay.
