Iranian President Heads to UN in New York Despite War with US
An Iranian delegation, including President Massoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, will attend the UN General Assembly in New York despite ongoing hostilities between Iran and the United States. The US State Department has imposed travel restrictions and bans on purchasing certain goods for the delegation. Meanwhile, Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least six people, including a ten-year-old girl. In Saudi Arabia, Houthi rebels launched ballistic missiles and drones at Riyadh, causing explosions near an airport fuel tank. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also claimed responsibility for attacking a Togolese oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
