Several stations temporarily closed due to suspicious luggage, five arrests
Four major railway stations in the western Netherlands—Haarlem Centraal, Rotterdam Centraal, Utrecht Centraal, and Dordrecht—were partially or fully evacuated on Tuesday morning after suspicious empty bags were discovered. Police arrested five individuals at Utrecht Centraal and Leiden Centraal for disturbing public order, while the owner of a bag left at Rotterdam Centraal subsequently came forward. Although no dangerous items were found, authorities are investigating whether the incidents are connected. All stations have since been reopened, and train services have resumed normal operations.
