Macklemore Announces Concert Series, Proceeds to Aid Organizations for Palestinians
American rapper Macklemore is launching a 'Free Palestine' concert series in Europe and the US, with all proceeds directed to aid organizations supporting Palestinians, including Gaza Soup Kitchen, Jewish Voice for Peace, and UNRWA. This announcement follows his removal from Ed Sheeran’s US stadium tour after he made pro-Palestinian statements on stage. Macklemore alleges that 85-year-old businessman Robert Kraft, owner of a venue where they were scheduled to perform, pressured Sheeran’s team to remove him due to his views and alleged history of antisemitic rhetoric. Kraft stated his stadium would not provide a platform for hate speech.
