Chinese Swimming Prodigy Yu Zidi, 13, Wins Three Gold Medals at Asian Games
Thirteen-year-old Chinese swimmer Yu Zidi won three gold medals at the Asian Championships in Nagoya, Japan. She secured victories in the 200-meter butterfly, 200-meter individual medley, and 400-meter individual medley, where she finished with a time of 4:28.56. This performance placed her five seconds behind the world record held by Canadian Summer McIntosh. Yu previously earned a bronze medal for China in the 4x200-meter relay at the 2025 World Championships after receiving special dispensation from World Aquatics to compete below the standard minimum age of 14.
