Restitutions Commission: Return Van Goyen painting to Goudstikker heirs
The Dutch Restitutions Commission has advised that the state must return Jan van Goyen's painting 'Vissers aan de oevers van een plas' from the Mauritshuis to the heirs of Jaques Goudstikker. The commission determined it is highly probable the artwork was involuntarily surrendered under the Nazi regime, following a request by Marei von Saher, widow of Goudstikker's son.
