Lieuwe van Gogh painting damaged in failed robbery attempt
A painting by Lieuwe van Gogh was irreparably damaged on Thursday during the opening of the Rebirth in Shelter exhibition in Amsterdam when a man attempted to steal it. Surveillance footage showed the perpetrator posing for the photo before removing the canvas, valued at 7500 euros, and hiding it behind a bar counter. Club management and security staff apprehended the man, and damages will be recovered from him.
