Peter Gillis’s Holiday Parks Ordered to Be Sold This Week
The court in Den Bosch ruled on Tuesday that the public auction of Peter Gillis’s three holiday parks—Prinsenmeer, Brugse Heide, and Stadsresort—will proceed as scheduled. Gillis failed to repay a 19 million euro loan from investor Marc van Rooi, which has grown to 27 million euros due to interest and extensions. Although Gillis requested a three-month delay to obtain new valuations arguing the parks are undervalued at 17 million euros, the court rejected this, citing certified prior assessments. Van Rooi denied intentions to use the properties for housing migrant workers, stating he only seeks to recover his money.
