Journalists from French news agency AFP attacked in the West Bank
On 2026-08-25, three journalists from the French news agency AFP were attacked by settlers in the village of Jannatah, near Bethlehem, while covering Israeli activists assisting Palestinian residents. According to AFP, settlers threw stones and a child struck a journalist with a stick, causing minor injury. Vehicles of journalists and activists were vandalized. Israeli soldiers declared the area a closed military zone and asked all to leave, but allowed settlers to remain. The Israeli police are investigating.
