Olympic Champion Oldenburg (38) Returns to Rowing
Marloes Oldenburg, the 38-year-old Dutch Olympic champion in the women's four at the Paris 2024 Games, announced via Instagram that she is returning to competitive rowing. After retiring in March of the previous year and welcoming a son, Oldenburg was inspired by a substitute appearance in June and now aims for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. She currently works as a rowing coach and exercise physiologist for TeamNL, stating that while her current life is fulfilling, competing remains her greatest passion. The trials for the Olympic rowing team are scheduled for December.
