Three of Peter Gillis's Holiday Parks Ordered to Be Auctioned by Court
A court in Den Bosch has ruled that three holiday parks owned by reality star Peter Gillis can be auctioned off by creditor Marc van Rooi. The parks, Prinsenmeer, Brugse Heide, and Stadsresort Valkenburg, serve as collateral for a loan exceeding 20 million euros provided by Van Rooi’s investment company, M2R Invest. Gillis attempted to block the forced sale, alleging the properties were undervalued to allow Van Rooi to purchase them cheaply, but the judge found insufficient evidence to support these claims. Van Rooi initiated the auction after Gillis allegedly failed to meet his payment obligations. Although Gillis stepped down as operator of his Dutch parks in April 2024 due to long-standing conflicts with municipalities over permits, he remains the property owner.
