Samuel Welten Major Winner at Buma NL Awards
Utrecht singer Samuel Welten won four Buma NL Awards for his hit Echte liefde is te koop, which was named the most successful single and pub hit, along with awards for Alles kan kapot and Uitslover. The ceremony took place at poppodium 013 in Tilburg, with prizes based on sales and airplay data from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026. Roxeanne Hazes hosted the event. This year also saw the inaugural René Karst Award for best chorus go to Justen de Wildt and his team for Cheerio, presented by Thomas Karst. Nico Silvius received the Industry Award for his contributions to Dutch-language music, while Bennie Jolink was honored with the Hollandse Meester lifetime achievement award.
