U2 to write about 'dead people' normally, but makes exception for ROSALÍA
U2 frontman Bono revealed in a Rolling Stone interview that the band's new album features a tribute to Spanish singer Rosalía titled The Mirror Maker (Rosalía). Although the track originated in 2017, its release coincides with Rosalía's rising popularity, which Bono noted was slightly embarrassing. He stated that while U2 typically writes about imprisoned or deceased individuals, this song honors her as an extraordinary artist after he personally sought and received her enthusiastic permission.
