Boksster Hoppema too heavy by a few hundred grams, European Championship campaign ends
Dutch boxer Aaliyah Hoppema was eliminated from the European Championships in Sofia after weighing a few hundred grams over the 65-kilogram limit. The Dutch Boxing Federation attributed her inability to make weight to side effects from medication. Consequently, her opponent Beatrise Rozentale advanced via walk-over. Additionally, Finn Bos lost his bout against Sergei Koldenkov by technical knockout.
