Higher PFAS Levels Found in Tap Water Across North and South Holland Compared to Rest of Netherlands
Greenpeace analysis of public drinking water data reveals that approximately one-third of Dutch tap water contains PFAS levels exceeding the RIVM's recommended guideline, with notably higher concentrations in North and South Holland. The highest readings were recorded in IJmuiden and Zaandam, reaching three times the advisory limit of 4.4 nanograms per liter, though legal limits remain at 100 nanograms per liter.
